Nachusa Grasslands is a prairie preserve owned by The Nature Conservancy located in Northern IL. This amazing place is over 3500 acres, and has some of the highest quality remnant and restored prairie in the state. It is a place full of beauty, and is stewarded by inspiring people. I worked as a restoration crew member for four seasons. During this time, I documented the work we were doing and photographed the landscape. Nachusa is easily one of my favorite places in the world.
